TRON: Deadly Discs is an action shooter developed by Mattel Electronics and released for the Atari 2600 in 1982. Based on the classic Disney film, the game places you on the digital Game Grid as Tron, fighting off relentless waves of enemy warriors sent by Sark. Armed only with your returning identity disc, you must dodge incoming fire, aim your throws across the arena, and survive against increasingly heavy grid forces.
How to Play
Your goal is to survive endless waves of opponents entering through the doors around the arena perimeter and score as many points as possible before being derezzed. Throw your identity disc to destroy incoming attackers and retrieve it as it boomerangs back to your hands.
In the browser, control Tron using the Arrow keys for movement and Spacebar to launch your disc. Press F11 to select options, F12 to reset, and Alt+P to pause your game.
Tips for Surviving the Grid
Keep moving constantly while throwing your disc to avoid getting trapped against the arena walls by converging attackers. Aim for door locks when perimeter doors open to slow down the arrival of enemy reinforcements, and catch your disc on the return trajectory so you are never left disarmed during heavy firefights.
