Time Pilot is Konami’s 1982 omnidirectional shooter, ported to the Atari 2600 from its arcade original. Your plane sits at the centre of the screen and can move and fire in any direction while enemies swarm in from every angle. The hook that makes it memorable: each stage is set in a different era of aerial combat, starting with World War I biplanes and moving forward through history to futuristic aircraft. Shoot down enough enemies in an era to draw out the boss, then destroy it to jump forward in time.
How to Play
Move your plane with the arrow keys and fire with Spacebar. As you clear enemies, friendly pilots eject and parachute down — fly through them to collect a bonus. Two players can take turns using the keyboard or a second set of controls. Press F12 to reset and F11 to choose a game variation before starting.

Tips
- Never stop moving — enemies attack from every direction, and a stationary plane is an easy target.
- Parachuting pilots are easy to miss in the chaos; swoop toward them when the skies clear briefly for a reliable score boost.
- Later eras throw faster and more aggressive aircraft at you — focus on thinning the crowd around you before chasing bonus targets.
