The Lost Vikings is a unique puzzle-platformer developed by Silicon & Synapse and released for the SNES in 1992. Instead of controlling a single protagonist, players must coordinate a trio of kidnapped NorsemenโErik the Swift, Baleog the Fierce, and Olaf the Stoutโeach possessing specialized abilities needed to navigate alien environments and escape.
How to Play
The objective of each level is to safely guide all three Vikings to the exit. You can only control one Viking at a time, requiring you to switch between them to solve environmental puzzles. Erik can jump and dash through walls, Baleog handles combat and hitting remote switches with his bow, and Olaf uses his shield to block threats or glide. The browser controls map the SNES gamepad to your keyboard: use the arrow keys to move, Z, X, A, and S for the action buttons, and Q and E (the L and R shoulder buttons) to swap characters. Press Enter for Start.
Tips
- Stack for height: When Olaf holds his shield above his head, Erik can jump on top of it to reach higher platforms that he cannot scale alone.
- Protect your team: If even one Viking dies, the level cannot be completed. Use Olaf to block enemies while Baleog safely attacks from behind him.
