Tetsudou Ou (Railroad King) is a pioneering board game released for the Famicom in 1987 by dB-Soft. Predating the famous Momotaro Dentetsu series, this game challenges you to travel across a map of Western Europe, using a roulette to move and acquire railroad lines. Your ultimate goal is to accumulate the most wealth and expand your network to become the true railroad baron.
How to Play
Roll the roulette to move around the European map, aiming to purchase railway lines and charge opponents who travel on them. Since this is an NES/Famicom title, the default controls are mapped to your keyboard: use the Arrow Keys for directional movement, Z for the A button to confirm actions, X for the B button to cancel, and Enter/Shift for Start and Select.
Tips
Be careful of random events, especially the “property exchange” event, which can completely reverse your standing if you are not paying attention to your opponents’ assets. Focus on acquiring the most frequently traveled lines to maximize your passive income.
