Game description:

Released by Nintendo in 1993, Tetris 2 is a puzzle game for the SNES that departs from the classic line-clearing formula. Instead, players drop falling pieces to match three or more blocks of the same color, either horizontally or vertically. The board features pre-placed blocks, including special “flash blocks” that dictate your progression through the stages.

How to play

Your objective in each stage is to eliminate all the flashing blocks by color-matching them with the falling pieces. Clearing these specific blocks allows you to advance to the next level. The game also supports two players competing against each other.

Tips

  • Prioritize clearing the flash blocks over regular blocks. Removing the final flash block instantly ends the stage, regardless of how many other blocks remain on the board.
  • Look for opportunities to set up chain reactions, as pieces that break apart and fall can create new matches below.
