Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Manhattan Missions is an action-platformer developed by Konami for DOS in 1991. Shredder has challenged the Turtles to a final battle, giving them 48 in-game hours to fight through New York City and dismantle the Foot Clan’s operations. You can freely switch between Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo, and Raphael to utilize their signature weapons.
How to play
The game blends side-scrolling exploration with fighting mechanics. Between missions, you return to the sewer lair where you can rest to recover health or train your turtles to upgrade their strength, speed, and maximum health. The game uses standard DOS keyboard controls; use the arrow keys to move, and use Enter and Space for attacks and blocking. For fullscreen gameplay, press Right Alt + Enter.
Tips
Time management is critical. Resting heals your turtles but consumes valuable hours, so swap to healthy turtles instead of sleeping whenever possible. Focus on training your turtles’ attributes early on, as losing a turtle in combat will severely handicap your team for the remaining missions.
