Developed by Eurocom and based on the beloved animated film, Disney’s Tarzan is a classic 2.5D platformer that arrived on the Nintendo 64 in 2000. This vibrant adventure follows the legendary hero from his early years as a young boy to his adulthood, challenging players to navigate lush jungle canopies, outrun stampeding animals, and ultimately battle Clayton’s poachers to protect the gorilla family.
How to play
Your objective is to reach the end of each level while collecting scattered tokens and the four letters that spell T-A-R-Z-A-N. The default Nintendo 64 controls map to your keyboard in the browser: use the Arrow Keys to move, X to jump, Z to throw fruit or swing your knife, and Enter to pause. You can also use C or Shift for ground slams and special interactions when prompted.
Tips
- Use different fruits: Standard yellow fruits are good for basic enemies, but save your explosive red fruits and spreading blue fruits for tougher poachers or bosses.
- Explore vertically: The jungle features multiple paths. Bouncing off canopies and climbing vines often leads to hidden sketch pieces and extra lives.
- Master the slide: During the tree-surfing sequences, time your jumps carefully to avoid branches and grab hard-to-reach collectibles along the sides of the path.
