Released in 1989 for the NES, Taboo: The Sixth Sense is a unique tarot card reading simulation rather than a traditional game. Developed by Rare, it gained notoriety for being one of the few licensed titles on the console to include brief nudity, and for its unusual physical release which came packaged in a black silk pouch to enhance its mystical atmosphere.

How to Play

The software acts as a virtual fortune teller. You enter your name, birth date, and gender, then pose a question to the cards. The program shuffles a tarot deck and deals a Celtic Cross spread to provide your reading. Navigate the interface using the D-pad (arrow keys), select letters and confirm with A (Z key), and use Start (Enter) to progress through the readings.
