Super Sprint is a top-down racing game released in 1986 for the NES, published by Konami and Tengen. An arcade-to-home conversion, it places you in a compact race car competing against AI opponents on closed overhead circuits that grow tighter and more demanding with each championship stage.
How to play
Your car accelerates automatically â the challenge is holding a clean line through the turns. Wrenches appear on the track mid-race; collect them to upgrade your engine, tires, or transmission before the next heat. Steer with the arrow keys, X is the A button, Z is the B button, Enter starts the race, and Shift is Select.
Tips
- Upgrade tires first â better grip through corners pays off more than raw top speed on the early stages.
- Take the inside line into every turn; entering too wide sends the car drifting toward the wall.
- Grab wrenches as soon as they drop â the AI will collect them if you hesitate.
