Super Off Road – The Baja is the 1993 Super Nintendo sequel to Ivan “Ironman” Stewart’s Super Off Road, the off-road truck racing series that started in arcades in the late 1980s. Rather than reuse the original’s overhead viewpoint, The Baja shifts to a third-person, behind-the-truck camera, putting players in the driver’s seat as they race trucks across rough desert terrain against rival racers.
How to Play
The goal is simple: beat the other trucks to the finish line while handling the loose, uneven terrain of a Baja-style off-road course. Keep your truck pointed straight through jumps and rough patches to avoid losing control, and use the closer third-person camera to spot upcoming obstacles earlier than you could from directly overhead.
Default SNES controls in the browser: arrow keys steer the D-pad, Z and X handle the B and A buttons, A and S handle Y and X, Enter is Start, and Shift is Select. Use the accelerate and brake buttons together to manage your speed through turns and jumps.
