Super Challenge Baseball is a two-player sports game released by Mattel Electronics for the Atari 2600 in 1982. Originally designed for the Intellivision, this M-Network port brings head-to-head competitive baseball to the 2600, focusing entirely on multiplayer matches with no computer opponent.
How to play
Since the game requires two players, one person pitches and fields while the other bats and runs the bases. Player 1 uses the arrow keys to move and the Spacebar to swing the bat or throw the ball. Player 2 uses TGFH for movement and the A key for their actions. You can press F11 to select game options and F12 to reset the match.
Tips
The pitcher can steer the ball mid-flight to throw off the batter’s timing. Mix fastballs with slow, curving pitches to keep your opponent guessing. When fielding, pay attention to which infielder you are controlling, as the game automatically switches you to the player closest to the ball.
