Super C is the 1990 run-and-gun sequel to Contra, developed by Konami for the NES. Players once again take control of commandos Bill and Lance as they blast their way through alien forces. Known for its intense side-scrolling and top-down stages, the game demands sharp reflexes and memorization, especially with its famously limited lives and challenging bosses.
How to play
Blast through waves of enemies and defeat the boss at the end of each stage. Collect capsule power-ups like the Spread Gun (S) or Laser (L) to upgrade your firepower. You can aim and shoot in eight directions, including diagonally.

Tips
- The famous 30-lives code from the original Contra does not work here. However, entering Right, Left, Down, Up, A, B, and Start on the title screen will grant you 10 lives.
- The Spread Gun (S) is arguably the best weapon for clearing multiple enemies and taking down bosses quickly.
- In the top-down stages, keep moving continuously and utilize diagonal firing to cover more of the screen and avoid getting surrounded.
