Star Sweep (also known as Puzzle Star Sweep) is a competitive action-puzzle game released for the Game Boy in 1997. While it features falling blocks, its core gameplay revolves around manipulating 3×1 blocks containing star icons. By aligning stars of the same colour, players dissolve pieces to clear the board and send obstacles to their opponent's screen.
How to Play
The objective is to clear blocks and prevent your stack from reaching the top of the screen. Match stars of the same colour to dissolve the blocks. For the Game Boy controls in your browser, use the arrow keys to move pieces, Z and X to rotate them, and Enter to start or pause the game.
Tips
- Build Chains: Focus on creating chain reactions (links) by setting up sequences where dissolving one set of blocks automatically drops and aligns another set.
- Watch the Top: Keep your stack as low as possible. If your blocks remain at the top of the screen for more than three seconds, the game is over.
