Space Harrier 3-D is a fast-paced rail shooter developed by Sega and released for the Sega Master System in 1988. Serving as a direct sequel to the beloved arcade classic, this entry was originally designed to take advantage of the SegaScope 3-D Glasses peripheral to deliver a unique stereoscopic 3D experience. Players once again take control of Harrier, blasting through vibrant, checkerboard-patterned alien landscapes filled with surreal enemies and massive bosses.
How to Play
Your objective is to survive continuous waves of incoming enemies and obstacles as you automatically fly forward into the screen. Fast reflexes are essential to dodge projectiles and defeat the boss at the end of each stage. For the Sega Master System, the default controls are mapped to your keyboard: use the Arrow Keys to maneuver Harrier around the screen, and press Z or X to fire your blaster. Press Enter to start the game.
Tips
- Keep moving continuously in wide circles to avoid enemy fire, as most projectiles are aimed directly at your current position.
- Shoot constantly. Your blaster can destroy many environmental obstacles like trees and pillars, which clears your path and earns extra points.
