Space Attack is a 1979 action shooter developed by Mattel Electronics for the Atari 2600. The game tasks you with defending a mothership from incoming alien fleets by balancing strategic command with fast-paced combat. Players use a radar screen to deploy defensive squadrons and intercept enemies, then switch to a battle view to directly engage the alien ships in first-person dogfights.
How to play
The game alternates between the radar map and the battle view. On the radar map, you track enemy movements and dispatch your squadrons. When fleets collide, the view shifts to combat, where you control a targeting crosshair to shoot down alien fighters.

Tips

- Lead your targets: In the battle screen, alien ships move quickly. Aim slightly ahead of their flight path to consistently land hits.
