Sound Novel Tsukuru is an interactive visual novel creation tool developed by ASCII and Success, released for the Super Famicom (SNES) in 1996. It allows players to write, edit, and play custom audio books directly on the console. Released late in the system’s lifespan, the game shipped on a specialized cartridge that supported memory paks compatible with the Satellaview system to store player creations.
How to Play
You interact with the software to assemble scenarios, choose backgrounds, and layer music and sound effects to build your own stories. Use the standard SNES controls to navigate the menus: D-pad + A/B/X/Y + L/R + Start/Select. These are mapped to the arrow keys + Z/X/A/S + Q/W + Enter/Shift in the browser.
