Silver Land is a rare 1981 arcade action game released by Falcon. Originally a total conversion bootleg of Orca’s River Patrol, the game swaps out a rescue boat on a hazardous river for a skier descending a snowy mountain slope. As the skier, your objective is to navigate downhill, avoid crashing into obstacles like trees and rocks, and pick up stranded people for extra points before your time runs out.
How to Play
Use the directional controls to steer your skier left and right across the slope. The action button controls your speed: pressing and holding it causes you to accelerate downhill, while releasing the button allows you to slow down and drift. You must carefully manage your speed and movement to weave between obstacles and successfully complete the course.
Tips
Speed management is critical to your survival. Don’t hold the accelerate button constantly; rely on releasing it to drift when navigating through tightly clustered obstacles. Drifting gives you more time to react and adjust your trajectory when hazards suddenly appear on the slope.
