Game description:

Shougi Saikyou II: Jissen Taikyoku Hen is a traditional Japanese shogi game released for the Super Famicom in 1996. Focused on authentic match experiences rather than tutorials, it offers challenging AI opponents for players already familiar with the rules of Japanese chess.

How to Play

The objective in shogi is to checkmate the opponent’s king. Navigate the board using the arrow keys (D-pad), and use Z and X to select, move, or drop captured pieces. Enter (Start) and Shift (Select) are used for in-game menus and options.

Tips

Shogi allows you to drop pieces you’ve captured from your opponent back onto the board as your own. Use these drops strategically to break through defensive formations or launch surprise attacks on the enemy king.
