Shatterhand is a fast-paced 1991 action-platformer developed by Natsume for the NES. Instead of using traditional weapons, you fight through a cybernetic dystopia using powerful bionic fists. The game is celebrated for its tight controls, phenomenal soundtrack, and a unique power-up system where collecting letter tokens summons different robotic satellite companions to fight alongside you.
How to Play
Your objective is to defeat the Metal Command by punching through cyborgs and bosses across multiple stages. Collect alpha and beta symbols dropped by enemies and crates; grabbing three will summon a robotic drone to assist you with attacks like lasers, swords, or fire, depending on the exact sequence of letters you picked up.

Tips
- Different sequences of alpha and beta tokens give you entirely different satellite robots. Experiment to find which one works best for each stage.
- If you collect the exact same three-token combination while you already have that specific satellite equipped, you will merge with it to don a powerful, temporary armored suit.
- You can deflect many enemy projectiles simply by punching them with the correct timing.
