Seicross is a 1984 side-scrolling action shooter developed by Nichibutsu for the NES. Instead of a traditional spaceship, you pilot a hoverbike through a continuous sci-fi landscape, blasting enemy turrets and deliberately bumping rival riders into stage hazards. It blends frantic shoot-’em-up mechanics with a combative racing feel, making for a uniquely aggressive arcade experience.
How to play
Use the arrow keys to steer your hoverbike around obstacles and enemies. Press Z to fire your primary weapon and X to speed up. Your goal is to survive the treacherous terrain, collect energy modules to keep your bike powered, and knock enemy bikes into walls while avoiding taking hits yourself. Press Enter to start.
Tips
- Bumping enemy riders into obstacles awards points and saves ammunition, but be careful not to bounce yourself into a wall in the process.
- Prioritise collecting the blue energy modules scattered across the track; running out of energy will destroy your bike.
- Stay near the center of the screen when possible, giving yourself more time to react to suddenly appearing barriers.
