Secret of Mana is a landmark action RPG developed by Square and released for the SNES in 1993. Breaking away from traditional turn-based combat, it features real-time battles where positioning and timing are crucial. The game is highly regarded for its distinctive Ring Command menu system, which pauses the action to let you quickly select items, weapons, and magic, as well as its vibrant soundtrack and cooperative multiplayer that allows up to three players to adventure together.
How to play
Your objective is to restore the power of the Mana Sword and stop the Empire from unsealing the Mana Fortress. Combat happens in real time on the field. You can switch between your party members and issue commands using the Ring Command system.

Tips
- Watch your stamina percentage at the bottom of the screen. You deal maximum damage only when your weapon power is at 100%; attacking earlier results in weak, ineffective hits.
- Level up your magic frequently by repeatedly casting spells, as higher-level magic is essential for surviving later boss fights.
- Take your weapons to Watts the Blacksmith whenever you find a weapon orb to upgrade them, unlocking powerful new charge attacks.
