Game description:

Roadsters is a 1999 arcade-style racing game for the Nintendo 64 developed by Titus Interactive, focusing exclusively on high-performance convertible cars. Players start with a limited budget in the Roadster Trophy career mode, earning money across three difficulty classes to purchase engine upgrades, turbos, and a mix of licensed and unlicensed sports cars. The racing takes you across ten distinct tracks with varying weather conditions, from standard street circuits to snowy ski resorts and even Area 51.

How to Play

Your main objective is to win races in the Roadster Trophy mode to earn enough cash to upgrade your vehicle or buy faster models to compete in the demanding Class B and Class A divisions. In the browser emulator, steer your car using the Arrow keys, accelerate with X, and brake or reverse with Z. Use Enter to pause the game or navigate the menus.

Tips

  • Upgrade strategically: Don’t spend all your money on a new car too early. Upgrading the engine and handling of your starter Class C car is often the most cost-effective way to win your first few trophies.
  • Watch the weather: Tracks can feature rain or snow, which significantly alters handling and increases your braking distances. Brake earlier and take corners less aggressively on wet surfaces to avoid spinning out.
