Recreating the events of the classic action film, Rambo III is an intense 1988 Sega Master System light gun shooter developed by Sega. Playing as John Rambo, you must infiltrate Soviet bases in Afghanistan to rescue your mentor, Colonel Trautman. Originally designed for the Master System’s Light Phaser, this first-person rail shooter plays similarly to Operation Wolf, tasking you with gunning down relentless waves of soldiers, tanks, and helicopters as the screen automatically pans across hostile territory.
How to Play
Your objective is to survive the enemy onslaught while moving through each stage. Since the physical Light Phaser cannot be used in a browser, use the Arrow keys to move your targeting crosshair. Press Z or X to fire your machine gun and launch explosive grenades to clear heavy resistance. Press Enter to start the game.
Tips
- Conserve your ammo: Your rapid-fire ammunition is limited. Once depleted, Rambo will only fire single shots, making it much harder to crowd-control enemies.
- Mind your fire: Be careful where you throw grenades or spray bullets; accidentally shooting innocent civilians will penalize your health.
- Prioritize vehicles: Enemy helicopters and tanks deal massive damage. Focus your heavy fire on them as soon as they appear on screen.
