Qi Wang – Chinese Chess is an unlicensed adaptation of the classic strategy board game Xiangqi, developed for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) in Asia. It offers a straightforward, digital way to play traditional Chinese chess.
How to Play
The objective is to capture the opponent’s general while protecting your own. The controls use the standard NES layout: use the D-pad (mapped to the arrow keys) to move the cursor, A (mapped to Z) to select and move pieces, and B (mapped to X) to cancel a selection. Start (mapped to Enter) pauses the game.
