Game description:

Puzzle Club is an unreleased arcade prototype developed by Namco in 1990. Built for the Namco System 1 hardware, it is a sliding block puzzle game where players must arrange matching tiles into horizontal rows before time runs out. The game features two distinct modes: a “Pacman Story” mode with 30 levels starring characters from the Pac-Land universe, and an incomplete “Floor Exercise” mode with a different visual style.

How to Play

The objective is to clear each stage by sliding tiles to form horizontal lines of matching symbols. Once a row is completed, those tiles lock into place as solid bricks and can no longer be moved. To play in the browser, arcade controls are mapped to your keyboard: use the Arrow Keys for joystick movement, Z, X, and C for action buttons to select and slide tiles, Shift to insert a coin, and Enter to start.

Tips

  • Focus on completing the lower rows first, as locked bricks can otherwise block your access to remaining tiles.
  • Keep a close eye on the timer; you must match all rows before time runs out to advance to the next level.
