Game description:

Puzzle Boys is a Sokoban-style puzzle game developed by Atlus and released for the Famicom Disk System in 1990. Serving as the direct sequel to the original Puzzle Boyโ€”better known in the West as Kwirk on the Game Boyโ€”this Japan-exclusive title challenges players to navigate characters through intricate mazes, push blocks into gaps, and use revolving turnstiles to clear a path to the exit.

How to play

Your goal in each of the 80 stages is to guide your character (or multiple characters) to the staircase leading to the next level. You must push blocks to fill holes and rotate turnstiles to open pathways. For NES controls in your browser, use the Arrow Keys to move, Z and X for the A and B buttons (often used to switch characters or interact), and Enter for Start.

Tips

  • Character switching: In stages with multiple characters, you will often need to use one character to hold a turnstile in position or push a block so the other can safely pass.
  • Think before pushing: Because blocks can only be pushed and never pulled, sliding a block into a corner or flat against a wall is usually a permanent mistake that forces a level restart.
