Game description:

Putt & Putter is a unique isometric miniature golf and puzzle game released by Sega for the Master System in 1992. Rather than a traditional sports simulation, the game plays more like a cross between mini-golf and pinball, challenging you to navigate complex courses filled with conveyor belts, switches, bouncy bumpers, and water hazards.

How to play

The objective is to sink your ball into the hole within a strict par limit. The Master System controls are simple: use the D-pad to aim your shot, then press button 1 or 2 to start the power meter and press it again to set your shot strength. You must carefully judge both the angle and power to bounce off walls and avoid traps.

Tips

  • Take advantage of the directional arrows on conveyor belts to carry your ball across gaps or accelerate it up ramps.
  • Hitting a switch will often alter the course layout by moving bridges or opening new pathways to the hole.
  • Because you only get a limited number of continues to retry holes you fail, always aim for safe, controlled shots rather than trying to clear the course in one risky hit.
