Game description:

Push-Over is a classic puzzle platformer developed by Red Rat Software and published by Ocean Software for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) in 1992. You control Colin the Ant, tasked with recovering Captain Rat’s dropped money bags by solving increasingly complex domino-toppling puzzles. Across 100 levels spanning different themed worlds, you must rearrange a set of special dominoes to ensure they all fall in a single chain reaction.

The objective in each stage is to arrange the dominoes so that a single push topples every piece, ending with the special Trigger domino falling last to open the exit. You can pick up and move most dominoes, but some are fixed. To play, use the Arrow keys (D-pad) to walk and climb ladders, A / Z keys (Y/B buttons) to pick up and drop dominoes, X key (A button) to push a domino to start the chain reaction, and S key (X button) to pause and survey the entire level.

  • Learn the domino types: Pay close attention to the symbols on the dominoes. Standard ones have a single yellow stripe, but others have unique propertiesโ€”Stoppers block falls, Splitters divide the reaction in two directions, Tumblers keep rolling until they hit an obstacle, and Ascenders fly upwards to hit platforms above.
  • The Trigger must fall last: The domino with three yellow stripes is the Trigger. It must always be the final piece to fall in the chain, otherwise the exit door will break and you will fail the level.
  • Mind the time limit: Each level has a strict timer. While you can take as much time as you need to plan your setup, once you push the first domino, the timer ticks down rapidly. Make sure your chain reaction is efficient enough to complete before time runs out.
