Pro Sport Hockey is a licensed 1994 ice hockey simulation released for the Super Nintendo, developed by TOSE and published by Jaleco. Featuring official NHLPA licensing from the era, it includes real professional players and accurate team rosters for the 1993â1994 season. The game provides a solid, traditional overhead hockey experience with exhibition, season, and playoff modes.
How to Play
Select your favorite professional hockey team and compete in standard ice hockey matchups. On the SNES, use the D-pad (mapped to arrow keys) to skate. On offense, press B (Z key) to pass to an open teammate and A (X key) or Y (S key) to shoot the puck on net. On defense, use B to switch to the player closest to the puck and Y to body check opposing players to regain possession.
Gameplay Tips
- Use the boards: Passing off the side boards is an effective way to clear the puck from your defensive zone or set up a break out.
- Time your checks: Committing to a body check takes you out of the play if you miss, so make sure you are properly lined up with the puck carrier before hitting the button.
