Game description:

Pop’n Music 6 brings Konami’s vibrant 9-button arcade rhythm experience to the PlayStation. Released in 2002 as one of the final entries for the console, it features a diverse, high-energy tracklist spanning pop, rock, and electronic genres alongside the series’ signature colourful characters. The game challenges you to hit descending notes in time with the music across multiple difficulty modes.

How to Play

The objective is to hit the notes exactly as they reach the bottom line to keep your groove gauge high enough to pass the stage. Since the original game used a specialized 9-button controller, the standard PlayStation mapping is used here: use the Arrow keys for the D-pad (left notes), Z, X, A, S for the face buttons (right notes), and Q, W, E, R for the shoulder buttons (outer notes). Press Enter to Start.

Tips

  • If you are playing on a keyboard without a specialized controller, it is highly recommended to start on the 5-button mode to learn the timing before tackling the full 9-button charts.
  • Focus your eyes near the middle of the screen rather than the bottom to better anticipate complex note patterns.
