🎮 Play Popeye Online (Atari 2600)

Popeye is a classic single-screen arcade action game, published for the Atari 2600 by Nintendo in 1982. Playing as the famous sailor, your goal is to catch items tossed by Olive Oyl—hearts, musical notes, or letters—while outmaneuvering your rival, Bluto.

How to play

You must collect all of Olive Oyl’s dropped items to advance to the next stage. Avoid touching Bluto or the Sea Hag’s projectiles. If you grab a can of spinach, you temporarily gain the power to punch Bluto off the screen.

For player 1, move using the arrow keys and punch using the Spacebar. A second player can use T/G/F/H for movement and A to punch. Press F11 to Select and F12 to Reset the game.

Tips

• Bluto can reach between platforms, so be careful when walking directly above or below him.
• You can hit the punch button to destroy bottles thrown by the Sea Hag.
