🎮 Play Plok Online (SNES)

Plok is an inventive 1993 action-platformer for the SNES developed by Software Creations. The game follows the titular character on a quest to recover his stolen flags from a plague of fleas across the island of Akrillic. What sets it apart is its bizarre combat mechanic: Plok throws his own arms and legs as projectile weapons, leaving him visibly limbless and vulnerable until they bounce back or regenerate.

How to play

The objective in most stages is to clear out every flea nest to progress. You use the arrow keys to move, Z to jump, and X to fire your limbs. Be careful when firing rapidly—if you throw all four limbs at once, Plok is reduced to bouncing around on his torso with heavily restricted movement until they return.

Tips

• Conserve limbs: Don’t throw all your limbs unless absolutely necessary. A limbless Plok is helpless against fast-moving enemies.
• Look for costumes: Grab vehicle and weapon power-ups like the shotgun, flamethrower, or unicycle to quickly clear out tough groups of fleas without risking your limbs.
• Target the fleas: The radar at the bottom of the screen shows the remaining fleas in the level—you must destroy all of them to reveal the exit flag.
