Developed by Apogee Software in 1990, Pharaoh’s Tomb is a classic DOS action-platformer that follows adventurer Nevada Smith deep into an Egyptian pyramid. Exploring a series of single-screen rooms, you must dodge mummies, avoid deadly traps, and gather treasure as you navigate toward the exit.
How to play
Guide Nevada safely through each room to reach the exit. Use the arrow keys to walk and jump, and press the Spacebar to throw your limited supply of spears. This emulation uses the original MS-DOS keyboard controls, and you can press Right Alt + Enter to toggle fullscreen mode.
Tips
- Spears are strictly limited, so try to jump over or bypass enemies instead of fighting them whenever possible.
- Progress relies heavily on timing. Watch the patrol routes of the mummies and bats before committing to your jumps.
- Beware of false floors and hidden spikes; move carefully through unfamiliar screens to avoid instant-death traps.
