Game description:

Johnny Dash’s dog Tex has been dognapped by the evil Count Chuck, setting off Monster Bash, a classic 1993 DOS action-platformer developed by Apogee Software. Armed with a slingshot, you navigate haunted landscapes, graveyard levels, and creepy dungeons filled with zombies, demons, and flying hands to rescue captive pets.

How to play

Your primary objective in each level is to locate and free all the caged animals by hitting their padlocks with your slingshot; the level exit will not open until every pet is safe. Use the arrow keys to move, jump, and crawl, and use your slingshot to defeat enemies and break open the cages.

Tips

Pay close attention to hidden areas; exploring fake walls and off-screen spaces often reveals health items, candy for extra points, or powerful weapon upgrades like the triple-spread shot. Take your time when moving forward, as enemies can spawn abruptly, and learning their patterns is crucial to surviving the trickier jumps.
