Mission: Impossible is a 1990 action-adventure stealth game developed by Konami for the NES. Based on the 1988 revival of the television series and built on a top-down engine similar to Metal Gear, the game puts you in command of an elite IMF team. You must infiltrate heavily guarded enemy complexes to stop the Sinister Seven terrorist group and rescue your captured operative, Shannon.
How to Play
Instead of relying on a single protagonist, you can swap between three different agentsโMax, Nicholas, and Grantโat any time. Each agent has unique abilities, weapons, and movement speeds necessary for different situations. Use the Arrow keys to move, Z and X to attack and use items, Enter to pause (Start), and Shift to access your radio and swap characters (Select).
Tips
Frequent character swapping is mandatory to progress; if you are stuck, another agent likely has the tool or disguise needed to bypass the obstacle. Nicholas’s ability to disguise himself is especially useful for walking safely past guards who would otherwise swarm you.
