Miner 2049er Volume II is a 1983 action platformer for the Atari 2600 by Big Five Software. Due to the strict memory limits of early cartridges, this release functions as a continuation of the first game, offering three complex new mine layouts where you guide Bounty Bob through dangerous caverns.
How to play
The goal on each screen is to claim the entire framework of the mine by walking over it, which changes its color. You must cover every section of the platforms before the timer expires while avoiding the radioactive mutants patrolling the area. Use the Arrow keys to move and climb ladders, and press the Spacebar to jump.
Tips
- Plan your route from the top down. Dropping off a platform is easy, but getting back up often requires finding a specific ladder, which can cost valuable time.
