Mighty Final Fight is Capcom’s 1993 side-scrolling beat ’em up for the NES, offering a comedic, “chibi” reimagining of their legendary 1989 arcade classic. When the Mad Gear Gang kidnaps Mayor Mike Haggar’s daughter Jessica, players take to the streets of Metro City as Haggar, Cody, or Guy to brawl through five action-packed stages. Unique among 8-bit beat ’em ups, the game incorporates an experience system that levels up your fighter as you defeat enemies, unlocking extra health and signature special moves.
How to Play
Select your fighter at the start of the game and clear each stage by defeating waves of Mad Gear thugs before confronting the stage boss. Defeating enemies earns experience points that level up your character, boosting your maximum health and unlocking powerful new attacks. Break open barrels and crates scattered throughout the stages to find food items that restore lost health.
Browser controls map the NES controller to your keyboard:

Tips for Victory
- Level Up Early: Defeat every enemy in the early stages rather than rushing past them. Reaching Level 4 unlocks your character’s unique extended move, which makes boss encounters much easier.
- Master the Grapple: Walk directly into an enemy to grab them. Throws deal heavy damage and knock down nearby foes, giving you vital crowd control against groups of enemies.
- Use Emergency Specials: Press Attack and Jump simultaneously to trigger an invincible special attack. It drains a small portion of your health, but instantly breaks enemy combos when you are trapped.
