Medarot 5: Susutake Mura no Tenkousei – Kabuto Version is a role-playing game developed by Natsume and released by Imagineer for the Game Boy Color in 2001. Exclusive to Japan, this installment introduces a new setting and protagonist who transfers to Susutake Village. Players collect Medaparts, customize their robots, and compete in 3-on-3 tactical battles. In the Kabuto Version, your starting Medarot specializes in shooting attacks, offering a distinct strategic focus compared to the Kuwagata counterpart.
How to Play
Navigate the village to find opponents, battle to earn new parts, and upgrade your Medarot to become the local champion. The default Game Boy Color controls mapped for your browser are:
- Arrow Keys: Move your character and navigate menus
- Z / Enter: Confirm actions and interact (A Button)
- X / Shift: Cancel actions (B Button)
- Enter: Open the main menu (Start)
- Shift: Select (Select)
Tips
- Focus on balancing your Medarot’s parts; equipping too many heavy parts will significantly slow down your actions in battle.
- Pay attention to the terrain of the battlefield, as different leg parts perform better on specific surfaces.
- Targeting the opponent’s leader Medarot can quickly end the battle, but taking out the supporting Medarots first can reduce incoming damage.
