Medarot 4 – Kuwagata Version (also known as Medabots 4) is a role-playing game released for the Game Boy Color in Japan in 2001. As the Kuwagata version, the game focuses on the stag beetle-type Medabot, Rokusho, offering exclusive parts and medals. Players collect, customize, and battle their Medabots in standard 3-on-3 “Robattle” skirmishes, continuing the story of Ikki Tenryou as he competes to become a top Medafighter.
How to play
The objective is to win Robattles by targeting and destroying the opposing team leader’s head part. Game Boy Color controls in the browser map the D-pad to the arrow keys, A/B buttons to Z/X, and Start/Select to Enter/Shift. Use these to navigate the overworld, select commands during battles, and customize your Medabot’s parts.

- Battles are decided by destroying the leader’s head part, so prioritize focusing your attacks on the enemy leader when possible.
