Developed by Namcot and published by Namco for the Famicom in 1989, Mappy Kids is a side-scrolling platformer spin-off of the classic arcade hit Mappy. Players guide Mappy’s young son through colorful stages, collecting treasure and items while navigating platforms, dodging hazards, and competing in mini-games.
How to Play
Guide your character safely through each stage to reach the exit while gathering coins and valuable items. Use jumps and stage interactions to overcome enemies and obstacles. Browser controls for the NES emulator are mapped as follows:
- Arrow Keys (D-Pad): Move left or right, crouch, or enter doorways
- X Key (A Button): Jump
- Z Key (B Button): Attack / Action
- Shift Key (Select): Select options
- Enter (Start): Start game / Pause

- Gather Coins for House Upgrades: Collect as many coins and treasures as possible throughout the stages, as your funds allow you to purchase furniture and upgrades between levels.
