Game description:

Released in 1983 as one of the original launch titles for the Famicom, Nintendo’s Mahjong brings the classic table game to the NES. This adaptation focuses on traditional Japanese Riichi Mahjong rules, pitting you against a computer opponent. Players can choose from three different CPU difficulty levelsโ€”beginner, intermediate, and advancedโ€”making it accessible for both newcomers and seasoned veterans of the game.

How to Play

Your objective is to build a complete, winning hand of 14 tiles by drawing and discarding before your opponent does. In the browser emulator, use the Arrow keys to highlight tiles, press Z to confirm a selection or call a tile, and use X to cancel. Press Enter to start the game.
