Developed and published by Nintendo in 2000, The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask is a dark and inventive action-adventure game for the Nintendo 64. Set in the doomed land of Termina, Link must use a repeating three-day time loop to prevent a falling moon from destroying the world, relying on magical masks that transform his abilities and species.
How to play
Your objective is to complete four main dungeons and awaken the giants to stop the moon from falling before the three-day cycle ends. Move with the analog stick, use A to roll or interact, B to swing your sword, Z to lock onto enemies, and the C-buttons to equip items and play the Ocarina. In the browser, these are typically mapped to the arrow keys, X/C, Z, and I/J/K/L.
Tips
- Deposit your Rupees in the Clock Town bank before playing the Song of Time, as your wallet is emptied whenever the three-day cycle resets.
- Play the Inverted Song of Time (playing the Song of Time backwards) to slow down the flow of time by half, giving you much more room to explore dungeons and complete sidequests.
- The Bunny Hood is one of the most useful items for general traversal; prioritize obtaining it from the Romani Ranch to run significantly faster.
