🎮 Play Klax Online (Atari 2600)

Klax is a fast-paced 1989 puzzle game developed by Tengen Inc. for the Atari 2600. In this arcade port, colored tiles constantly roll down a conveyor belt toward the screen, challenging you to organize them into matching lines before space runs out.

How to play

The goal is to catch the tumbling tiles with your paddle and drop them into the bin below. Arranging three or more tiles of the same color horizontally, vertically, or diagonally creates a “Klax,” clearing them from the board. If you miss too many tiles or the bin fills to the top, the game ends. Use the arrow keys (↑↓←→) to move your paddle, and press the Spacebar to drop a tile into the bin. You can pause the game with Alt+P, toggle color mode with F2, or reset with F12.

Tips

• Your paddle can hold multiple tiles at once. Use this to reorder colors and set up multi-tile chain reactions for massive score bonuses.
• If you catch a tile you don’t need right away, you can press up (↑) to flip it back up the conveyor belt and stall for time.
