Kero Kero Keroppi no Daibouken is a charming puzzle game released for the Famicom (NES) in 1991. Instead of a traditional platformer like its sequel, this Japan-exclusive adventure stars the beloved Sanrio frog in a series of logic and movement-based challenges. You must guide Keroppi through seven themed worlds, tackling memory mazes, Othello-style color puzzles, and precision jumping to rescue his girlfriend, Keroleen, from the castle.
How to Play
Your objective is to solve each single-screen puzzle and safely reach the exit. Use the D-pad (Arrow Keys) to move Keroppi around the board. Press A (Z) to hop across gaps or interact with specific tiles. If you make a mistake and get stuck, press B (X) to summon a hot air balloon that safely returns you to the menu, letting you restart the level without penalty.
Tips
- Look before you leap: Many levels feature tiles that change the direction you are allowed to move when you land on them. Plan your route carefully before hopping.
- Use the balloon: There is no shame in getting stuck in a logic puzzle. Press B as soon as you realize a path is unwinnable to save time and try a new approach.
