This patch corrects those aesthetic issues, swapping Mario and Luigi’s famously reversed hat colors, adjusting character palettes for a more authentic look, and introducing a Wario-themed alternate color for Mario mirror matches, alongside various title screen and text fixes.
How to Play
Choose your character and engage in one-on-one combat to deplete your opponent’s health bar. The game uses standard NES controls, mapped to your keyboard: move and jump with the arrow keys, execute light and heavy attacks using Z and X, and press Enter for Start and Shift for Select.
Tips
- When selecting a fighter, keep in mind that Bowser’s extremely slow movement speed leaves him at a severe disadvantage against faster opponents.
- Luigi’s special moves are currently locked to AI use in the game’s code, so focus on mastering his standard attacks if you choose to play as him.
