Game description:

Jikkyou Powerful Pro Yakyuu 2000 is a baseball simulator developed by Konami and released for the Nintendo 64 in 2000. Despite the cute, super-deformed character designs typical of the “Power Pro” series, it offers a deep and surprisingly realistic take on the sport. Players can jump into standard exhibition matches, manage a team through a full pennant race, or guide a custom rookie through the beloved story-driven Success Mode.

How to Play

The game follows standard baseball rules. Pitching requires careful selection of pitch types and locations, while batting relies on a cursor-based timing system. For the Nintendo 64 controls in the browser, the D-pad (mapped to the arrow keys) moves the batting cursor or pitch location. Use the A button (X) to swing or pitch, and the B button (Z) to cancel or pick off runners. The Start button (Enter) pauses the game.

Tips

  • When batting, watch the pitcher’s release point closely to read breaking balls before they cross the plate.
  • In Success Mode, balance your character’s training with rest to avoid injuries, which can severely derail your progression.
  • Mix up your pitch speeds and locations to keep AI opponents off balance.
