Game description:

Jikkyou G1 Stable is a horse racing and stable management simulation that Konami Computer Entertainment Nagoya released exclusively in Japan for the Nintendo 64 on April 28, 1999. Part of Konami’s “Jikkyou” (live commentary) line of sports sims, it puts you in charge of a stable, breeding and training horses and building up a staff with the goal of winning the sport’s top G1 races at home and abroad. It’s a sequel to Jikkyou Keiba SL Stable Star, carrying that game’s management-heavy approach onto the N64.

How to play

This is a menu-driven management sim rather than an arcade racer: most of your time goes into pairing horses to breed foals, assigning training menus, hiring and managing stable staff, and entering your horses into races that build toward the G1s, with commentary and a paddock parade before each start. All text and menus are in Japanese, with no official translation. In the browser, Nintendo 64 controls map to the keyboard as arrow keys to navigate menus, Z for the A button (confirm), X for the B button (cancel/back), and Enter for Start.
