Hoops is a half-court basketball simulator developed by Jaleco and released for the NES in 1989. As part of their Moero!! sports series, this streetball title focuses on fast-paced, competitive play without the full-court transitions of standard basketball games. Players can jump into single matches or tournaments in both 1-on-1 and 2-on-2 configurations.
How to Play
In your browser, use the Arrow keys to move your player around the court. Press Z to pass the ball or switch your active defender, and press X to shoot or attempt a block. Press Enter for Start and Shift for Select.
Tips
When playing defense in a 2-on-2 match, stick closely to your opponent and time your jumps carefully with X to block shots before they reach their peak. On offense, passing quickly to an open teammate is often more effective than trying to drive past the defense alone.
