Global Defense is a shoot-’em-up released by Sega for the Sega Master System in 1987. Based on the arcade game SDI (Strategic Defense Initiative), it puts you in command of an orbital satellite tasked with defending Earth from incoming missiles and enemy spacecraft.
The objective is to clear both offensive and defensive phases of each level by intercepting warheads before they breach your defenses. Using the Master System’s D-pad (mapped to your keyboard’s arrow keys), you maneuver your targeting crosshair across the screen, while the A and B buttons (Z and X) fire your weapons to eliminate threats.
