Ghoul Patrol is the 1994 SNES sequel to the cult classic Zombies Ate My Neighbors, developed by LucasArts. In this top-down, run-and-gun action game, players once again take control of adventurous teenagers Zeke and Julie, who accidentally unleash a demonic horde from a museum exhibit. You must navigate through historically themed levelsโfrom a modern metropolis to a pirate-infested Caribbean and medieval timesโrescuing stranded victims before the monsters get to them. Building on its predecessor, Ghoul Patrol introduces new mobility mechanics like jumping and sliding, alongside a fresh arsenal of bizarre weapons to fend off the undead.
How to Play
Your objective is to explore each level, locate all the hidden victims using your radar, and rescue them before the monsters do. Once all surviving victims are rescued, a door opens to the next stage.
- Move: Arrow Keys (D-pad)
- Shoot: A key (Y button)
- Jump: Z key (B button)
- Use Item: S key (A button)
- Change Item: X key (X button)
- Pause: Enter (Start)
- Toggle Radar: Shift (Select)
Tips
- Take advantage of the new jump and slide maneuvers to quickly evade projectiles or zip past slower enemies when you are low on health.
- Keep a close eye on your radar to track down victims efficiently. Prioritize saving them over fighting monsters, as losing all victims results in a game over.
- Save your more powerful weapons for bosses and large groups of enemies; stick to the standard crossbow for regular encounters to conserve ammo.
